A couple of weeks ago I went to a lovely event in Mayfair hosted by a bespoke perfume maker called Elegantes (www.elegantes.co.uk). One of the speakers was a truly inspirational lady from a charity called Look Good, Feel Better (LGFB). LGFB helps women and teenagers suffering from cancer cope with the visible effects of cancer treatment. Since 1994 they have supported 130,000 people in the UK, with 97 per cent of those attending the two-hour workshops saying they felt better afterwards. At the volunteer-run sessions participants learn, for example, how to re-create missing eyebrows or correct uneven skin tone. A programme for men was under development in 2017 and will be rolled out next year. This essential charity relies on public donations and support to survive so please give generously this Christmas. As readers of this beauty blog, you will be well aware of the fact that if you look good you feel better. Imagine how essential something like this could be to someone suffering from cancer.
Happy Christmas to all my readers and see you in 2018.
